Wildegg Castle: Opening of Garden Attraction

In the root cellar, visitors meet Julie von Effinger, the last lady of the manor (1837-1912). The vivacious lady learns about decreasing biodiversity in a conversation with the current gardener, Bruno. She ventures into the 21st century in order to see for herself. What Julie von Effinger discovers, the guests are also invited to explore during a visit to the root cellar: culturally and historically significant ProSpecieRara species and the history of castle gardens.

In the adjacent kitchen and pleasure garden, visitors can see and smell over 300 rare plant species.
