Triumph and Tragedy at the North Face

«Triumph and Tragedy» is the motto of the 40-minute walk from the Eigergletscher Station to Kleine Scheidegg. Walkers pass through seven stations with staged presentations on the present and the past of extreme mountain climbing at the Eiger north face. The north face, which is within sight the whole way, serves as the backdrop for extraordinary photo spots and creates the impressive connection between the staging and the mountain massif. The main attraction of the hike is built into a former transformer station:
a wooden model of the Eiger north face on a scale of 1:500, artistically formed with a chain saw. At the push of a button, a laser beam tracks the most historic climbing routes through the north face.
