A Treasury of Glass

The treasury is open to visitors! Europe’s most opulent glassware collection at the «Museum Kunstpalast» in Düsseldorf has received a new outfit, with more than 4'000 historic artefacts newly presented on three floors. The «Schatzhaus» or treasury is the main attraction of the rearranged collection: A strikingly novel concept of space and colour guides the visitor through the epochs of glassmaking. The objects are described in typography from the time of their creation and set in their cultural context. Outstanding architecture, excellent design and state of the art showcases and lighting distinguish the newly conceived museum.
