Just follow your nose

The Werdhölzli wastewater treatment facility treats the wastewater of half a million residents of the city of Zurich - up to 6,000 liters per second. The ""Clean Water"" visitor tour begins at the influent sewer. This intake transports the entire wastewater of the city of Zurich to the treatment plant. It is impressive to see the huge quantities that reach the treatment system in the shortest period of time. The tour follows the material flow and shows the various purification stages. Not all steps can be seen or understood. That's why we supported the professional guides with didactic staging. To give the long footpaths between the areas the necessary excitement, they are enriched with small, goal-oriented surprises. Guests see objects and whimsicalities fished out of the sewage, act out the sewage treatment plant processes and experience a palette of smells in every nuance. At our studio, the phrase is on the index, but it couldn't be more fitting for this visitor attraction: an experience for all the senses.
